- Description
- We have some mismatches between wiki markup and tbook elements. Do we:
- use the tbook dtd as the core, but add capabilities to cover features available in wiki markup but not in tbook; or
- use the xhtml dtd as the core, with a supplement to cover cases where PmWiki uses styles to represent semantic constructs

- Proposed solution
- There is no free lunch. We decided to pursue the first option initially, as this appears to be less work. James noted that use of XSLT may create a maintenance problem later. There are 3 areas for trial:
- processing newline characters [\\=] at the end of a line
- inline markups like big and small with no tbook equivalent
- controlling heading levels, which may not nest properly

- Resolution
- It all just worked. We aim to make as few changes as are necessary to achieve the desired results.
