Will a different XSLT processor be faster?
Type

Description
We are successfully using Saxon, which is a Java-based xslt processing engiine. Will a compiled engine such as Sablotron be faster?
Importance

Proposed solution
Run a timed trial using Sablotron, assuming we can get it working on Mac OS X.
Urgency

Status

Resolution
Testing on intranet.affinity.co.nz reveals that Sablotron doesn’t like tbcommon.xsl, but that xsltproc seems to work, and takes one second to run a simple test, vs. seven seconds for Saxon. mkpdf.pl therefore now calls xsltproc.
