- Summary
- How do we handle table attributes

- Description
- Both Simple Tables and Advanced Tables support a range of xhtml name=value attribute pairs. At the moment, these are ignored in the pdf processing. We should be able to do better than that.
We also need to work out what to do to make text in cells wrap, so wide tables don’t spill into the margin. For example, see the table on DeveloperBrief?.
See tables?.

- Proposed solution
- Probably work backwards from what tbook supports, then identify any critical other attributes we can add easily.
The tabularx and tabulary packages have options for automatically wrapping text in table cells. Text wrapping works, but requires text alignment to be set by column, rather than for individual cells.

- Resolution
- Text wrapping and text size are satisfactory. Alignment is correct. General table attributes are not currently supported.
