- Description
- We want to allow an author to control some aspects of the typeset output’s presentation and we want to allow a visitor to over-ride these if desired. See layout control?.

- Proposed solution
- We need to investigate adding a <meta> tag to the tbook dtd that can in turn be used to set configuration options in the generated LATEX. The syntax is:
<meta type=“name” value=“value” />
These in turn get translated into corresponding LATEX directives.

- Resolution
- Unless otherwise specified, Wikipublisher uses the default values set on Site.Publish Template and Site.Print Template. When typesetting a trail or an individual page, the reader can over-ride the defaults on demand. For typesetting a trail, an author can over-ride some or all default values. The reader’s choices take precedence over the writer’s choices.
At the moment, typesetting search results uses the default values.
